Am I the only one bothered by this??

So it seems like everytime I open the App Store or iTunes on my iPhone 3GS I get asked for my password!! I don't care about an app that didn't update or a download that failed earlier! I just want to do what I'm doing now, and not be bothered by entering my password for some reason that I don't even remember or care about.

Is this a useless rant or do others feel the same way?

it does get rather annoying to put your password in each and every time you download an app. they should have it that once you turn your phone on you enter a master password and everything is set.

(New York) � The United Nations Security Council�s unanimous resolution referring Libya to the International Criminal Court (ICC) sends a strong signal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his commanders, as well as other governments in the region, that the international community will not tolerate the vicious repression of peaceful protesters, Human Rights Watch said today.
The resolution adopted on February 26, referred the crisis in Libya to the ICC, imposed travel bans on key Libyan leaders, and froze their assets.

�The Security Council has risen to the occasion and given notice to Gaddafi and his commanders that if they give, tolerate, or follow orders to fire on peaceful protesters, they may find themselves on trial in The Hague,� said Richard Dicker, director of the International Justice Program at Human Rights Watch.

Human Rights Watch said the Security Council�s referral to the ICC appears aimed both at bringing justice to the Libyan people and avoiding more victims.

How ironic that two of the permanent members of the UNSC have invoked the ICC without themselves recognising it.

francis21May 6, 09:00 AMHere's my problem: As I go and start Boot Camp, after pressing the Continue button, I am welcomed by the screen that says "The startup disk does not have enough space to be partitioned. You must have at least 10 GB of free space available" The weird thing is, I have 18.28 GB of free space available. Is there kind of a restriction (i.e. do you need to have 20 GB or more) - because I already have more than 10 GB of free space? Is there anyway to bypass this problem?

Took Apple a year and a half to update the original Mac Pro - you think they will close the gap between the current and next-gen to below 12 months??!

Anyway... I'm holding out for an ACD announcement... and nothing. It's been two years without change, that's crazy. Has forced me to consider Dell... :(

mingogliaApr 12, 12:38 PMEvery time I read these threads I'm reminded why I don't have an iphone. Yeah, I have many other Apple devices, including a 3G iPad, but no iphone. I refuse to be a slave to the man. I wish subsidized devices didn't exist in this country. It reduces competition by locking people into contracts and ultimately holds technology back. Yeah, more people can own the "coolest" phone, but IMHO the ends don't justify the means.

But if you want to save some money, buy somewhere else, as Apple is quite expensive for RAM.

cyclingsessionsMay 6, 12:05 PMBad RAM. I've had it happen with numerous computers, which is why I paid more for the 8 GB of RAM from Apple, given they can test it prior to shipping. My memory from Apple is Samsung, which I have used a lot without issue. I don't know much about Corsair's memory, so I cannot say anything regarding their product, but I have always used Crucial with good results, and it is a favorite here.

That's for the advice! I may try Crucial or OWC which looks like they guarantee Apple compatibility. I guess the Corsair's should work fine in a standard laptop.

JonasLondonJan 22, 07:28 AMActually, the big display prices *must* come down soon, because regular 32" tv can be bought for 500 euros nowadays. A display which has HDMI input, which means it can be connected to a DVI computer card rather easily.

Now I don't mean to say that a regular 32" TV that costs 500 would compete with a 30" ACD in terms of colour accuracy or top resolution, but I'm saying if someone wants a big display it can be done for peanuts. And as people discover this they're not going to buy "overpriced" computer displays that are meant for one purpose only.

No HDTV competes with the resolution of a 30" COMPUTER monitor...

Apples and oranges, man.

Now, to get in to my main point, is it possible to work at the Apple Store under the age of 18? I have no idea about the labor laws, work permit, and things like that, but I just to make sure. I saw on other thread that in state of Nevada, a person should be above the age of 16 to get a job.

BTW, I'm 17 currently.

reached the age of 15 years.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding

I agree. Although the 23" monitor (at least) is 'only' $800 so cannot really be classed expensive enough to be high-end pro-monitor. (A Nikon D300 rather than a Nikon D3!) I suspect the panel manufacturers keep the prices beyond 8-bit at a high-premium, so you have to pay $1600 or more for such a monitor.

Red BullJun 20, 07:59 AMAny idea on store opening times and when's the best time to que up. Going to one of the stores in Middlesbrough, Stockton or Darlington.

I think I said it in the "Newcastle, UK" thread but I've been to the three previous iPhone launches at Darlington's O2 store and there's never been a queue before 8.30 for a 9am opening.

I can't vouch for the other two but Darlo might be an easy place to get a 4 :)
