OdduWonDec 12, 09:29 PMzune is so crappy that they have to put cardboard models out so people don't get frustrated and smash the huge brown booger on the floor. went to target the other day and they don't even have a working model. how am i supposed to see if i like the new gigabeat... i mean zune if i cant play with it? plus what the eff is with the menu button??? On my ipod i can get to my geners without even looking. Just push menu like 5 times and then one click and a quater scroll. one more click and scroll to the bottom. then bam reggae:cool: with the zune if you push the menu...or back..or what ever the hell it is called, when your in the main menu it goes back to the last thing you were doing. i got stuck in a fm/main screen loop which made me laugh at first but the i just got fed up and walked away. how the hell is someone supposed to drive and listen to this thing? I like the "ooooohh, shinnnny" feel of the os but it's lack of organization and usefullness quickly subvert this inital feeling.

I don't understand why this post says that Apple is coming out with wireless capabilities to compete with zune - if nobody has wireless out yet, then there is not much a competition. And it certainly isn't Apple hoping to be the ones to catch up.

The post says apple is going to compete with Zune because everyone knows almost everything about zune, with the exception of having a physical zune apple can at least stay on top by brining in inovative features before zune has them.

Those were the old tires that came with the wheels, I never used them as they were ********. I'm running 225/45/17 Continental ExtremeContact DW. Only have about 50 miles on them and I love them.

Here's the tread on them. They look narrow in the photo, but I assure you they are not.

Back on topic....... Supposedly, Ivy Bridge (next year?) will support USB 3. I wonder if it will be possible to have some sort of a Thunderbolt to USB 3 interface. I would hate to buy a new iMac now and not be able to take advantage of the USB 3 speed when it becomes more widely used in the next few years. Or is that not something to worry about?

Put those together with space for a 3.5" hard drive and run Front Row 2.0 and I'd be psyched.

I really want the Mac Mini to be a basic TV hub device. It doesn't have to have a DVR, cable card slots or TV tuners built-in. Sure, if Apple could build an all-in-one box that's better than my HR10-250 (HD Tivo for DirecTV) or the upcoming Series 3 from Tivo that would be great. But for now I'd be happy with one box for TV watching (HR10-250) and one box for everything else (DVDs, music, movie downloading, casual web surfing).
I would like to see a "media center" with a basic built-in TV-tuner so I could use it as a TIVO. It cant be that hard to add a TV-tuner...

I think Blu-Ray should have been out 3 years ago. There have been HD displays for reasonable price for some time now, but nothing to really use them with. 3 years ago you would probably have been right saying it's too early, but still IMHO it would have been great if Blu-Ray were released together with the G5's.

It's so sad to think that Blu-Ray shouldn't be here now, because it is still rather expensive. Everything is, until they can produce larger volumes. Using this kind of "too early" thinking, we would have nothing ever released. How cool would that be :P

I got a fingernail into the seam, then some steady force pulling the lower section straight back did the trick. It's a nice case with a beautiful fit.

I did not opt for a screen protector, no second thoughts. I've found these often get pretty mucked up themselves on other devices, and that by itself would be a shortcoming on this amazing display.

For a lot of traveling, maybe an inexpensive slip case? Best luck.

I think I'll just go with the case for a while and see how it goes. If the front starts to take a beating, I can always use the Invisishield then. So far, I'm really liking this case.

Well, they're all silicone (not sure about the Griffin Flex Grip), but the Griffin seems to be more thick. It probably would have more protection than the others, but Switcheasy has the Jellybean Home Button, and tons of accessories.
